No matter how determined protesters may be to get their message across, angry fathers will always be more determined to be there for their children, a lesson several demonstrators learned the hard way after nearly fighting an angry dad hellbent on picking up his daughter from school on time.

On Monday, an unidentified New York City father found himself nearly coming to blows with a group of Pro Palestine protesters after they blocked the Williamsburg Bridge.

“You're disrupting traffic, idiots. You can't do that, that's against the law!” he yelled from the driver’s seat of his car, threatening to escalate the already high tensions.

'I'm gonna have to start throwing fists at y'all, I'm not gonna run you over,” he continued, exiting his vehicle and inching towards the protesters. “Get away from my car, bro!”

But by then it was too late. The man marched up to the row of street-obstructing demonstrators and began swinging, shoving several protesters in an apparent last-ditch effort to make it to his daughter’s school by the dismissal bell.

Though one high-vis-vest-clad crossing guard attempted to de-escalate the situation, positioning themselves between the angry dad and the protesters, the man refused to back down.

“Get away from my car, I have a daughter in Brooklyn!” he yelled.

Ultimately, the visibly stressed-out father was able to get his way, the group clearing the intersection and allowing the man to head into Brooklyn.

While it’s unclear what prompted the change of heart from these protesters, there is one thing written in stone — that man’s daughter will be 75 years old and still hearing her dad talk about the time he fought protesters to pick her up from school.
